Skidding cone for logs up to 50 cm in diameter.
The skidding cone is the central tool for small forestry operations. It prevents logs from colliding with roots and stumps or other obstacles. Its elliptical tip provides robustness and allows it to slide over tree debris, causing no damage in terms of regeneration. Made of high-performance plastic, it is lightweight, flexible and virtually unbreakable.
Thanks to its large opening, the cone can handle logs up to 50 cm in diameter or several smaller logs connected with a choker chain at the same time. Friction with the ground is significantly reduced, making it possible to carry larger loads.
The cone can be used behind an all-terrain vehicle, a snowmobile, a small tractor or even a horse - and at any time of year, as it can withstand temperatures as low as -30 °c (-22 °f).
And of course, it can also pull logs with a cable capstan winch!
