Automatic release device for self-releasing pulley (pca-1270) for ropes with max. 12 mm diameter.
The automatic release device is used to release the rope from the pulley at the right moment
Rope pulley at the right moment. This allows the log to continue on its way to the path without having to interrupt the process (by removing the rope from the pulley). This accessory greatly improves the productivity of small forestry operations.
The release consists of two parts: a steel cartridge and a chain link. Both are located freely at the end of the rope when not in use. To install the release, simply position the chain link at the desired distance, make a half turn with the rope, and insert it into the cartridge. This will hold the rope in place without risking damaging it. Once the rope is inserted in the pulley, it can be removed from the open pulley by using the trigger (pca-1270). This allows the log to continue its course and swing to the path.
Suitable for ropes up to 12 mm (1/2") in diameter.
Not recommended for use with the mobile winch when anchored with a strap: when the rope tension is released, the winch would fall to the ground and could be damaged. The use of an anchor such as the pca-1268 or the pca-1269 is recommended.
