The tirfor® is a portable traction hoist with continuous rope that performs all the functions of a hand-operated wire rope hoist or pulley block under the most diverse operating conditions with unique advantages. Its distinctive feature is the rope-pull principle.
Functionality:
Multipurpose hoists are portable devices for lifting, pulling and tensioning. Grapple hoist devices operate with consistent safety in any position and in any direction, provided that they can align in the direction of pull.
The rope is not wound on a drum as in pulley blocks or conventional winches, but is moved in a straight line by two jaws comparable to hands to pull it or accompany it during lowering.
There is one operating lever each for lifting and lowering. By moving the attached lever tube back and forth, two pairs of jaws move the rope alternately through the device. The rope length (=traction distance) is practically unlimited. The
Mechanism is self-locking; the loaded rope pulls the jaws together. The unloaded Grip Hoist™ device can be released. Then the rope can be inserted and pre-tensioned by hand and pulled out again when the work is finished.
The device is equipped with a sling (hook or pin, depending on the model) that allows quick attachment to any attachment point with sufficient load capacity.
